About Robin Navarro Montgomery
Robin Navarro Montgomery, PhD University of Oklahoma, is a retired university professor and administrator and professor of graduate courses in international relations for US Military in Europe. He has orchestrated historical tours of Texans to Tennessee and vice versa. In addition to numerous academic articles during his professional career, now retired, he is chair of the Walker County, Texas Historical Commission, a columnist for three newspapers and the author of thirteen books. His latest book, with his daughter, Joy, is Sam Houston’s Quest: The Cherokee & African-American Virtue Agenda. Against an historic background, the book explores the interrelated concepts of intelligence backed by Biblically-based virtue as keys to education and assimilation to US Culture. The book ends with a call to honor the dual legacies of Sam Houston and Martin Luther King Jr. as models around which to forge a common and integrated culture true to the essence of both pluralism and virtue-based traditionalism.
