About Maria Santiago
Maria Teresa Santiago M.D. was born August 3, 1954 in Manila, Philippines. She received her M.D. in the Philippines in 1979. She is currently Staff Physician of Pediatric Pulmonology located at 865 Northern Blvd., Suite 103, Great Neck, New York and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine. Dr. Santiago is a member of the American Lung Association, American Board of Pediatrics, and Certified Pediatrics & Pediatric Pulmonology. Pediatric Pulmonologists provide expertise in all aspects of pediatric pulmonary disease including ventilator and tracheotomized patients, obstructive and central apnea, congenital lung diseases, pulmonary involvement in congenital heart disease, interstitial lung disease, asthma and cystic fibrosis. Comprehensive clinical pulmonary evaluations and access to various child-oriented diagnostic modalities including full pulmonary function testing and challenge tests, sleep studies, flexible bronchoscopy, radiologic tests are available to the patients. The team approach allows us to provide not only a comprehensive evaluation but also a coordinated plan of care specifically geared towards children with complex pulmonary and upper digestive problems. Dr. Santiago's hospital affiliations are the following: Long Island Jewish Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York (The former Schneider Children's Hospital).
