About Dr. Steven D. Colan
Dr. Steven D. Colan received his M.D. at Boston University School of Medicine, his Internship, Residency and Fellowship in Pediatrics was completed at Massachusetts General Hospital. He earned his undergraduate degree at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge. He is a Physician at Boston Children's Hospital and Director of Clinical Research, Dept. of Cardiology and Donald C. Fyler Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in Echocardiogram, with the department of Cardiology and the Heart Center, Cardiomyopathy Program. Dr. Colan is a Chief Resident at Massachusetts General Hospital, Professor at Harvard Medical School and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He received the American Society of Echocardiogram Founders Award. Dr. Colan lectures and speak Internationally and has 420+ Articles, 100+ Book Chapters and Review Articles. In the past he was Director of Division of Non-invasive Cardiology from 1994-2006 and Associate Chief of Cardiology from 2006-2015. Dr. Colan is a member of the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatric Cardiology and the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics.
