About Herschel Fogelman, Esq.
Herschel Fogelman graduated Osgoode Hall Law School in 1988 and was called to the bar in 1990. Since his call to the bar he has practiced family law exclusively. He is a Certified Mediator and successfully mediates hundreds of disputes every year and is frequently called upon by other members of the Family Law Bar to assist in solving difficult problems. Mr. Fogelman is listed in the the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory which recognizes lawyers who are leaders in their practice areas, and has been named a Best Family Lawyer in Canada each year since the Best Lawyers. Mr. Fogelman has written and has appeared in a wide variety of publications including Money & Family law. Mr. Fogelman was an instructor for many years with the Family Law section of the Bar Admission course. He was part of the team of lawyers chosen by the Law Society of Upper Canada to draft the standardized Separation Agreement for use by all Ontario Family law lawyers. For a number of years, he served as a panel lawyer for the Ministry of the Attorney General (Offices of the Children’s Lawyer) as a legal representative for children in a variety of family disputes. He is a frequent author and lecturer for such groups as Osgoode Hall Law School, the Advocates’ Society, the Ontario Bar Association and various universities in Ontario. In his free time he enjoys hockey, canoeing, and camping.
