About John Langdon Timmons, Esq.
John Langdon Timmons obtained his B.S. with honors from Iowa State University in 1968 and his J.D. with Distinction at the University of Iowa College of Law in 1975. Mr. Timmons is a retired Iowa Trial Attorney with the Pasley and Singer Law Firm LLP, located in Ames, Iowa. He retired in December of 2016. John enjoyed a 40 year career with Pasley and Singer Law Firm, starting his career as a lawyer in 1976. John is an Ames native who served both in the Peace Corps and the United States Army before going to law school. His focus in law was on personal injury, family law, litigation, products liability and professional negligence. Mr. Timmons has had a BV rating by Martindale-Hubbell and received the "Top 100 Lawyers" from the National Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Timmons was elected District 2B governor on the Board of Governors of the Iowa Association for Justice, (formerly the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association) which is the premier association for Iowa trial attorneys. He is a past member of the American Association for Justice and the Iowa Association for Justice. Mr. Timmons has written a novel and has been published in 10 newspapers.
