Burlington, NJ - Professor Geetha Kota has been selected by the Global Who's Who as a Top Educator for outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of Teaching.
About Professor Geetha Kota
Professor Geetha Kota received a Ph.D. in Education from Osmania University and a Masters' from Osmania University, an M.S. in Botany, Applied Plant Physiology, in 1974 and a B.S. in Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, in 1972. She is an Upper School Science Teacher at Life Center Academy. A Christian private school located in Burlington, New Jersey. Professor Kota teaches Biology and Chemistry and she formally taught Educational Psychology, Methods of Teaching Biological Sciences, and has taught Science at Village at Chester Upland School District. She counsels on a one on one basis and has a passion for teaching, she has been in the industry for 40+ years. Professor Kota has served as a School Psychologist in St.Alphonsa's school and College, Hyderabad India and served as Guidance Counselor (Dealt mostly with children who has learning disabilities of adolescent and adults. She has publications to her credit including "Study Guide for B.S. Ed. on-line delivery of Osmania University in Biological Science and Population Education", "Study Guide for M. Ed. Vocational on-line delivery of Osmania University in Advanced Educational Psychology", "A Study of the Self-Concept of Student Teachers in Relation to their Performance in Practical Teaching in the Colleges of Education of Andhra Pradesh"," A Teacher's Personality" and "Aggressiveness and Dependency of Children at the Pre-Primary Level". Professor Kota is a Counselor and Psychologist at Hyderabad Baptist Church. She has been nominated three times for Best Teacher Award and was named Who's Who among America's Teachers 2003-2005 Multiple Year Honoree. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and listening to Gospel music.
